Thanks to split dies and the horizontal machine arrangement, long components such as bars with diameters of up to approximately 50 mm, or tubes with diameters of up to 100 mm depending on wall thickness, can be loaded easily in lengths from 200 to approximately 2,000 mm and upset step by step into the required near-net-shape.

The extremely fast action and kinematics of the mechanical forging presses also allow more complex component geometries to be formed in several stages within a single forging heat. This eliminates laborious intermediate reheatings and, in addition to improving energy efficiency, reduces material burn-off, scaling and/or surface decarburization. Depending on the order volume, our systems generally operate fully automatically.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]Learn more … [/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Using our horizontal forging presses, we form hot-forged parts after prior induction heating to forging temperatures of up to 1,250 °C, applying pressing forces of up to 250 tonnes.
